St Theresa Avila League

The Avila League of St Theresa Church provides a variety of both social and service opportunities for the women of the parish.  Volunteers provide food and support for grieving families by providing funeral lunches .  They work with community organizations to provide for persons in need and work on fund raising projects for the church and parish.  They hold an annual Fall Harvest Dinner, work with the Salem Elks Club on a Thanksgiving fundraiser, sponsor a January Cook Off, and hold a summer Parish Family Picnic.  They also take care of the church needs such as hosts, wine, candles, missals, m church furnishings and cleaning.  They meet the fourth Wednesday of each month from 6:00pm to 7:00pm in the Guth Room of the Parish Center.  Contact persons: Margie Doolen 618-548-2359  or Mimi Steele 618-322-5443.
